Structure without a blank canvas

A Notion alternative when you need structure, not starting from zero

Notion is a flexible canvas for almost anything. Kanlane comes already organized: kanban boards, clients, calendar and passwords ready to work from day one.

Why choose Kanlane as a Notion alternative?

Notion shines as a notepad, wiki and flexible database, but you have to build every space by hand. Kanlane delivers the essentials already set up: boards per project, a calendar of deliveries and meetings, clients with their contacts and a password vault. Less time configuring, more time working.

Ready-made boards

Pick a project type (support, development, kanban) or define your stages. Without building the structure from scratch.

Clients and contacts

Each client with their people, tasks and meetings connected, instead of loose pages to link.

Encrypted passwords

Store your clients' access encrypted in your browser, with a recovery key. Something Notion doesn't offer built in.

In Notion, boards and the calendar are built by hand; in Kanlane they come ready. Notion wins at notes and documents; Kanlane, at projects and clients.

What Notion doesn't give you: client context

Notion gives you pages and databases to build your system. Kanlane already links each client to their current task, contact, meeting and access, without linking anything by hand.

Before switching from Notion

If you already use Notion for notes, documentation or wikis, you can keep using it for that and run your projects in Kanlane. Direct import from Notion isn't available in this version: you can start with a new project and export your Kanlane data whenever you want.

  1. Try a board. Open the demo and drag a card between columns.
  2. Add a client. Create a client with their contact and a task to see how they connect.
  3. Check the calendar. Set a deadline and see it in the week view.

Frequently asked questions

Is Kanlane free?

You can create a free account and no card is required to start. Always check the current conditions inside the service.

Can I try Kanlane without signing up?

Yes. The public demo lets you try a board with sample data, and guest access keeps data in your browser.

Can I import my Notion pages?

Direct import isn't available in this version. You can start with a new project and export your Kanlane data whenever you want.

Can I use Notion for notes and Kanlane for projects?

Yes. They're complementary: Notion for documenting and Kanlane for client and project work, with tasks, meetings and passwords.

Does it work offline?

Yes. You can install Kanlane as an app and open it offline: you'll see your latest data and changes will sync when you're back online.

What happens with my passwords?

They are encrypted in your browser with your master password before being saved, and that password never leaves your device.

Try a board before deciding

Drag a card, open a task and try its subtasks. It's a demo with sample data; no account needed.

If the board doesn't load, open the demo in a separate page.
